what a day...

so yesterday... i went to my classes and came into work.

let me explain something first... we have some really cool and really popular classes that we offer in the rmyl department... like rock climbing, hiking and survival, flyfishing, etc.... and we have waiting lists for them. well, we start these lists a couple of semesters before and they get pretty long... the flyfishing and mountain biking are our most popular, and they can get 100-150 poeple signed up. and it really is just a waiting list. the classes are only 15-20 people, so they are supposed to go the first day of class with an add/drop card, then the professor takes the first 20 or so on the list that show up to class. so these lists are a pretty big deal.

welp. i came into work and there was a note on my desk from paula asking if i knew where the winter 09 mountain biking waiting list was. yeah it was gone. and needless to say the professor wasnt too happy. i looked through all my folders... thinking that maybe it had just gotten put it with one of the other lists... it hadnt. and... and!! the winter 09 fly fishing list was missing too. aw heck. i really thought that professor was going to chew me out... but he didnt, thank goodness! and i seriously dont know how they just disappeared!! i called alex [the other secretary] and she said that she had them out and put them back yesterday... so. where are they now? we dont know... and i seriously have no idea where they are! i looked through all my draws and all of my folders and i looked through the recycle bin... nothing.

this is my theory. some disgruntled student who didnt get into either of these classes last semester or the semester before that or the semester before that was angry and jealous and stole the lists intent on putting his name first and then filling it up with all his friends that he wants in the class too... and that they will magically reappear sometime before the first day of class. thats my theory. haha... okay i shouldnt laugh...this isnt really a laughing matter... i was not in a very happy mood yesterday... it just made me so... i dunno... distraught or something... and it wasnt really technically my fault, but still... how could TWO waiting lists just up and disappear? if we cant find them, there are going to be a bunch of angry fly fishers and mountain bikers... for serious.

and i wasnt very happy when i got home... so brooke and i went to michaels and got some canvases... and i started a painting last night. although the canvas i actually used was one that i got with the gift certificate that paula gave me for christmas! [so thank you again paula!] and actually i painted over the one that i did in january [this one... click here] i wasnt very happy with it. and im planning on doing a four panel for above the kitche table... anyway. this is the sketch... and the painting... its not quite done though... this is just phase one...



and i made dinner... adrian said that mom had made chicken and stuffing a couple of days ago... and danielle had said that she had made it last week too... so i decided that it sounded really yummy so i made some.... and on the box of the stuffing it said to mix in a bag of mixed vegetables... but i didnt have any... and i was going to make green beans with it too...but instead i mixed them in!! and it was amazingly delicious!! i think it may just be my new favorite!!


lol... oh and while i was at work i was telling paula that i wanted to make one of those betta vases... you know the ones with the peace lilly and the betta fish and junk... we made one for my dad years ago... i wonder if he still has it... anyway, i told her that we should make one for the office! and put one of those little frogs in it too! well... since me and brooke were at michaels, i bought one of the vases and some rocks [for mine]... and michaels is right by petsmart so i bought two little african dwarf frogs... and they are just too stinking cute! they make me smile! i still need to go buy a peace lilly for it, so im not gonna post pics of it until it is done.

anyway. it was a bit of an eventful day....
