so... it happened today.
chowder jumped in the pool.
we were all wondering when this would happen.
dad, mason & i were outside playing with the chowder talking about this and that. conversation led to the vacant house behind ours and i wanted to see what it looked like... so i went through their backyard and peeked in the windows. it's really cute, if you're wondering. anyway... i hear chowder give a little bark and then i hear austin say, "chowder!" (a little concerned-like). we came back around to our yard and it turns out chowder was in the pool... apparently austin kinda freaked and barreled out of the house (knocking the screen door completely out) to get chowder... who was in fact doggy paddling in the pool.
haha....
well, he swims... and he is doing great and is all dry now.
i wonder if he liked that little dip in the pool?
lol. oh chowder...
ps... do you see how big his collar is on him? haha.... it's so cute!

oh my gosh... I was laughing so hard that I think I just woke up my baby!!! I'm glad little Chow experienced the pool. (Hayley is ready to. That's for sure.) We are a little concerned about Austin's over-reaction and possessiveness with that dog, but man...I got a good laugh! I can't believe he knocked out the screen!
First of all, I am a HERO!
Second I tried to open the thing but it just got in my way, I was saving a life. You would make an exception too if it was Hayley.(Nock on Wood)
And Third, I didn't really freak out. I just scared of the tough of finding Chowders little dead body at the bottom of the pool. Though it might be easier for Kels to do it with the skimmer. Ha ha!
Sorry about the grammar, it is 10:15, which is about 11:15 kels' time Sooo....
Austin, why does it matter what time it is for Kelsey??
Also, yes... I would have done that to save my child! However, you did it for a dog. (no offense!) I completely understand that he is little (and I'm even slightly fond of him), but he has animal instincts and paddled right along. It sounded a bit extreme, but I thoroughly enjoyed the story!
Let me start by giving Austin some kudos for his reference to Killer Kelsey and that ground squirrel last summer. Freaking funny.
I think it's kind of hilarious that the screen door ended up getting knocked off. I can only imagine the way that looked when it really happened!
OH HEAVENS!! I am sitting all alone in the RB and laughing hysterically to myself. After a good three minutes, I realized I looked weird and am now continuing to chuckle to myself every time I look at the picture of the screen door.
First, while I did not enjoy all the ridicule I got this summer for killing the ground squirrel (and let me be clear... IT WAS DEAD, MOM!!), Austin's reference was pretty much perfect!
Second, Chowder is an important part of our family now and nobody knew if he could swim. Obviously Austin's reaction was completely warranted. And HILarious! Austin, you ARE a hero!
lol love it. i can just see austin doing that... ripping the screen door off to get to him i mean. Also... 9 days.
