once upon a time i moved home from utah and planned on moving in with nicole. well... that didnt really work out so hot... i didn't find a job for forever and then her brother ended up moving in with her. anyway. it just never did work out. well now she is getting married (in april), but her apartment lease is up at the end of this month... and she didn't want to have to pay out the wazoo for 2 months so she is actually moving in to the farr household... woot!
for some reason we have an overabundance of furniture as of late (yes... that does in fact mean it's time for me to move out, haha).... so her little room is a bit tight with her big ol' queen size bed.
we ended up giving adrian & dustin the other half of the bunk beds (they have the other half already)... mom & dad took it down last weekend. dad was loading it up in the truck... and this is what i found...
it makes me smile. when we were little adrian, kelsey & i would crawl under the bed and play tic-tac-toe. it's definitely one of my favorite memories... i had no idea the crayon would last this long! i think mom was getting a little sentimental as we were moving the bed out... she said that this is the first time in 18 years that bed has been out of that little room. i'm pretty sure i saw a single tear roll down her cheek. ps... i'm very hopeful that someday little miss hayley will have a little brother or sister (or cousin... but at this point a sibling is much more logical haha) to play tic-tac-toe with underneath the bunkbeds!! :)
anyway... today, nicole (and the boys) moved in her bed and some of her stuff (the majority is going to her fiance's house though). and apparently it takes four boys to put together a bed frame. sheesh... i love each one of those boys.
it went from this...
(from when i moved home almost 2 years ago... can we say "wow!")
to this... all dusty, sad & empty...
to this... (as of tonight)
and now this room is almost ready for nicole to officially move in! (now we need to work on a new painting/rearranging the ones already in there! i love this part!!) i sure am excited to have my old roomie back with me!

Wow!
First I was totally laughing at the tic-tac-toe when the bed was delivered!
Second, why did it take all 4 boys to put it together?? haha. Who is the kid in the purple jacket?
Third, yeah for a new roomie. There really is a special bound with roommates. (If you like them anyway.) Poor Nicole is squished into that tiny room, but at least it's only for 2 months.
Fourth, I miss your zebra room.
Fifth, I really like the bunkbeds. Post coming soon! :)
It definitely took four guys to put it together. You needed a different perspective from each corner on how to put it together properly. Bahaha
that is probably in my top five favorite memories too! we had such good times back then... even though we didn't get along hardly ever. haha
it'll be fun for nicoley to live with you for her last two months of freedom. (just kidding, nicole!) what a fun post!
