random little tidbits...

so this week kelsey & i started a project. we revamped our recipe books. we typed up old [but amazing] recipes as well as brand new recipes. and we got our books all organized [we even organized the mom's book too!]. we feel pretty accomplished. well, we definitely had a few nights that we stayed up too late typing recipes. apparently my dad thought it was funny... walking past my door and seeing us both on our laptops typing away... i suppose we looked pretty silly, but it was absolutely worth every minute!

we also babysat hayley on thursday. i really like when kelsey is home... basically because we get to tag team the niece. hayley's a really good kid... but it makes it so much easier with two of us. it was also the first time we got to drive with hayley in her front-facing carseat... it was the cutest thing ever! i can't believe she's getting so big! she just chills back there "reading" or playing with her toes or drawing on her magna doodle.... haha...

she is also quite smitten with barney. it's really pretty hilarious. my mom saved this barney stuffed animal from the days when kelsey was in love with him, and now its hayley's turn. hayley stands there in front of the tv for a few minutes at a time dancing with barney wrapped tight in her arms. its just about the cutest thing ever! i sure love that little hayley bug.

first, our cookbooks are AWESOME! i'm way too excited to make every single recipe in there!

second, hayley's cute.

third, i love how she shares my love of barney. it makes me smile :)

I didn't realize Barney was still on tv. Shelby loved Barney back in the day. For my little 3 yr old that I babysit its all about Diego. I can sing the theme song and I have learned about animals that I didn't knew exist.

Barney is not allowed in my house. Remind that niece of yours not to bring it when she comes to visit next month. We don't want her teaching Isabel bad habits.

Oh Jas... I promise to leave it in the car. She doesn't really watch it anyway. (Although it's an awfully cute picture!) It is only going to be used in a desperate attempt to have an enjoyable 12 hour drive.

Can you just make me a big fat copy of your new recipe book?? I've been meaning to update my for ages! And I'm certain you have all the good recipes that I want!
