prom night...

so saturday night was kelsey's prom (as you may have read on adrian's blog...she got it up first... just because she is obsessive about this blogging thing! lol!) anyway, she went with my best friends little brother, devin townsend. zac baker (our almost brother) went and ashley (our cute cute cousin) got to come down for it. they went with my other best friends little brother, kyler kartchner...and his date olivia barley.

they were such a cute little group!!

actually, its pretty funny because three years ago it was

kara (kartchner)
plus best friend (hayley)
all taking pictures together and having dinner at the kartchner's grandparent's house then going to the prom and dancing all night long (oh...side note: we got a limo and these kids didn't... neener neener... lol) and coming back to the townsends for the post-prom festivities!

honestly,this was so weird for me... it really feels like it was just last year that i was going to prom with my best friends... and now it is kelsey's turn... wow.

but how very fun though ... we are all growing up i suppose! :)

oh yes, and i got to come down and do kelsey's hair... she has this amazing new curling iron, which i absoutely fell in love with! she looked so beautiful! oh! and i got to help her find her prom dress! it was so exciting!

and this is the amazing curling iron! (it came with a kevlar glove so you wouldn't burn your fingers... however, as some people (ahem mama...) may assume, it is not fire proof, and it was still very hot!! lol! :)

while kelsey and her friends went to the prom, mom dad adrian dustin and kristy went to dinner. so me and austin got to go on a date... (i had sent him a little certificate/ coupon thing earlier in the week... telling him that we had a date on saturday night... he got to choose the dinner and movie!) it was so much fun! :) just me and my little brother! we went to subway for dinner (he ate a footlong... i still cant believe it) and then we went and saw spiderwick chronicles...which was a suprisingly good movie! i laughed, i cried, i screamed, i ooed, i awed... it was a good movie! haha okay so maybe i didnt ooo and aww... but as embarrasing as this is to admit it... i did jump... it was kinda scary in a few parts! haha... and then afterwards tino decided that he wanted ice cream... so we stopped at cold stone creamery. we got a "gotta have it" of cake batter ice cream... with kit kat pieces, brownie bits, and gummy bears (for me, naturally) in a chocolatey sprinkled waffle bowl.... holy sugar overload! :) it was suprisingly delicious!! :) anyway... i just wanted to say thanks to my favoritest little brother for one of the best dates ive ever been on!
