a painting, a wreath & a fish...

yesterday was a rather productive day off work for me.

i finished the painting that zac had requested eons ago... he always picks such fun paintings for me to do! this specific one was z-gallery inspired [and just so we're all aware... i'm positively in love with that store. sigh... it's just so fantastic!] click here for the link to the original. i definitely loosely interpreted this one. haha...

also. as you all know. i'm a serious blog stalker. i have a couple diy blogs that i'm completely obsessed with. those being... better after & someday crafts. there are so many dang fun projects! i seriously want to be that cool someday.  anyway. i came across this other blog and they had an adorable idea for a wreath [click here for her blog]. i obviously didn't follow their directions. but i like the way mine came out... although i would probably try it their way next time. welp... we had a little bowl game party last night... so i just sat in my corner and hot glued as i somewhat watched the football game. haha...

austin decided he was desperate for tortillas yesterday. so he drove us down to our favorite tortilla place [la mesa tortillas] and we picked up a couple dozen hot and fresh tortillas [mmmm!! :) ] well, right next door is a petsmart. i love pet stores. so we ran in. i had been thinking about getting another beta for awhile... and this was the perfect opportunity! he was even on sale! woot! so... without further adieu, i proudly introduce you to my newest friend... edwin!

 
isn't he just beautiful. he sure is a spunky little fellow... he reminds me a lot of edmond.  i'm thinking edwin & i will be friends forever!
