so, my grandpa farr is pretty much amazing. he is a very talented woodworker and has built us the majority of our furniture. he is still teaching woodworking at eastern arizona college [i took it a couple times] and all with the help of my grandpa built an easel, a frame, a dresser, and many bowls using the lathe... it was absolutely one of my favorite classes i took while at ea. and he has built every one of us grand kids a cedar chest [specially designed by each of us] for our high school graduations. he is insanely talented and still takes special orders. well... i finally got my bedroom furniture all designed and turned it in to him [it matches my cedar chest and the dresser that i built]... and in august when we were up in the gila valley for grandma and grandpa's 55th anniversary party we picked up my dresser and nightstands. we got my headboard while we were in ft thomas for thanksgiving. and i couldnt be more happy with the way it all turned out! it so insanely perfect! all of it! oh how i love it! :) my grandpa was telling us for a similar custom designed bed set it would cost about three grand... but my parents just pay for the wood [its still a bit expensive though...] and grandpa does the work for free. while we were there for thanksgiving we also picked up kelsey's bed set too... which is equally as beatiful! so thanks again to grandpa farr [and my parents!] love you! :)

my set is made out of oak [with a walnut stain]. we are kinda running out of space to put all our furniture, so austin is graciously keeping my headboard and one nightstand in his room for me. looks pretty dang good, eh? [ps... that wicked cool snake skin? yeah thats mine too... grandpa neilson and i skinned and tanned it :) ] its a really tall headboard... almost five and a half feet, but its exactly what i wanted... and i love it! we still need to get hardware for the dresser and nightstands...

this is kelsey's... her's is made out of walnut [it has a very beautiful grain]. and hers matches her cedar chest too. her dresser is really similar to mine as well, but just as beautiful!
