so ive decided im not a real big fan of snow. i really enjoy looking at if from inside, sipping my hot chocolate where it is nice and warm, but actually being out in it is not so much fun! maybe its one of those things that i will learn to love... maybe...
let me tell you a little story... so i went to bed somewhat early last night... i was tired [and i had finals today], so i went to bed at like 10... and i fell asleep by 11:30 [im having this issue sleeping lately... its rather strange. maybe im just lonely... lol. just kidding.] i woke up at 3:30... am... and looked outside and there was snow everywhere! like everywhere, everywhere!! and i just thought to myself how creepy utah weather is... specifically their weird misty rain and the snow... and how you can never hear it! im used to the loud monsoon rains! and the loud winter el niños! [be impressed with my little squiggly tilde eñe thingy... it took me forever to figure out how to get it on there...and how to spell that word... not niño... but eñe lol] okay. so im laying there and i remember thinking to myself that snow is death. lol... how easy would it be to die in the snow? for serious. like if you were in a blizzard or something... and you just curl up and freeze to death. im sure its not that simple, or quiet... i watched this movie one time about these hikers... maybe they were skiers or something... that fall down this crevice in this huge mountain and one of them dies from hypothermia... and it shows how he [she... maybe... i seriously dont really remember] gets progressively worse... you stop shivering eventually.... and then you get all blue and puffy and then you get amnesia and junk like that. anyway. i was laying in bed thinking about dying in the snow... and i couldnt for the life of me fall back asleep... i got up and got a drink of water... i turned on some sleepy-sounding music.... i put socks on [sometimes that helps]... i took my socks off [sometimes that helps more]... i even tried that counting thing that mom and dad told me to do when i was little and couldnt get to sleep on christmas eve... you know where you start from a certain number and count backwards... but you have to take a deep breath between each number [remember that one?] they told me to start from 80... i started from 200 last night... i got down to 120 last night before i messed up and had to start over... then i could only make it to like 176... lol. i would go 199... breath... 198.... breath... 198... breath... 197... breath... 196... breath... 197... breath...and so on and so forth. i finally started falling back to sleep around the snow plows came out... around 5 ish i think... then i woke up at 7 to take my finals. i was walking to school in the snow... and i was crossing crosswalks and swore i was gonna fall... so i was walking in all this snow with it snowing all types of everywhere [and apparently waterproof mascara doesnt work if its snowing... so i look wicked cute today... mmm yeah no... lol]. and i got outside hogi yogi and apparently it was icy under the snow... cause all the sudden i was on my bum. and i started laughing... basically because it was funny. i got up... dusted the snow off my bum... and kept on walking... i had three finals to take today and i was slipping all over campus... but i caught myself- so i never fell again. but seriously everytime i slipped i would start laughing... it was pretty amusing. i havent laughed that much walking around campus... ever, i think! haha... oh and i inhaled a couple snowflakes up my nose a few times... that is an interesting sensation to say the least! :) welp. thats my exciting snow-filled adventure for the day [hopefully the walk home wont be as treacherous!]
oh and....

First of all, what is hogi yogi?
Second, you so should have text me or something last night. I got up to go to the bathroom at 2am and was awake until about 4. But I didn’t even really sleep after that. I was basically laying there with my eyes closed trying to trick myself that I was asleep. Seriously it was something fierce. I’m exhausted today.
That still cracks me up that you fell! Sorry but that’s hilarious!!!
Waterproof mascara didn’t even work? Stupid Snow!
Yeah for tomorrow!!!
Okay, so now you are going to have your own stories to share with your kids so many times they have them memorized! (Walking to school when the time and temp sign says -0-. It is just wrong!) I don't think I fell on my bummy. Way to have better balance the rest of the day.
It is not snowing here but Tucson could get snow Wed night/Thurs morning. What do you think of that? See you tomorrow!
Sounds like you have lots of fun and adventerous days in the snow. I love the snow. You may learn to love it and maybe you won't. You either hate it or love it there is no in between. I actually miss the snow. Good luck w/ all that snow.
AH! So i know what you mean about the Creepy creppy snow and laughing while slipping....i also inhaled some snowflakes, and when i texted my dad about it he said "That takes a special kind of stupid Amber." Lol. I'm glad i'm not the only Arizonan who has to adjust to the snow. :)
